So it amused us here at Style File when a company called Musewear, enlisted the lowly flip-flop to preach weighty philosophy, promote self-esteem and honor legends in music and literature. Some will say that putting the words of Mahatma Gandhi, Buddha, Oscar Wilde and Ella Fitzgerald inside a flip flop is to diminish their significance. Imagine, the inspirational flip flop -- a seeming oxymoron. But we'd argue that Musewear would probably amuse, if not deeply flatter them.
