Nike Free Time Y2K Junk Art Sculpture by Gabriel Dishaw

Since the mid 90′s Dishaw has been perfecting his craft and after manipulating  Nike Dunks, Blazers, Air Forces, and even Shox’s, he has now cropping the Nike Air Max 2011. Dishaw, with Nike’s blessing, went to work on yet another timeless piece of work. His “junk art” collection is one that has wowed not only sneaker enthusiast but art lovers as well. It can be seen on display at the Nike HQ in Beaverton, Oregon. Unfortunately some people have the tendency to claim that sneakers aren’t art. Now, take a good look and tell me this isn’t art. Both are beyond ridiculous because art is and always will be in the eye of the beholder. Just ask unique creative Gabriel Dishaw. Equally impressive is the leather casing carrying the sneakers.
